Battlestar Galactica at Dragon*con

This post is for Grant [info]gdg  who would have had the time of his life had he been there. ;p  The video is to get you in the mood and to have a little background music.

 
Couple of things here.  I missed the Galactica panels sadly, but you can find out what was said in the communities here on LJ. I missed the party that was completely filled up. :(   I did get a few autographs one of which was from Jamie Bamber, Captain Apollo himself.  But the biggest surprise was the cosplayers.  Galactica is relatively new and I was surprised at the detail and accuracy of many of the costumes that were there.  I didn't go out of my way to get Galactica photos, but now thinking about it, I should have.. there were so many of them and I missed so many opportunities to get photos.  They were not just good cosplayers.... they were an absolute hoot to party with. ;p  I am going to have to cosplay Galactica for next year.... no question.

Wow that Tigh is REALLY good! I didn't see him at the con. I adored Stunt Man Six, and apparently no one could resist touching his balloon boobs.

I did a BDU Racetrack costume this year, but didn't take too many photos since I was avoiding the crowds with a broken wrist and broken toe.

Aaaugh sounds fun! I went in 2000 to DC and haven't gone back but regret it every year!

Best show on televison... and you could cosplay Kat perfectly. :D

Oh don't worry about it. I actually have ripped copies of the first season, but I just haven't gotten around to watching them. I must admit, I'm still trying to finish up this last season of Lost (yeah I know...I'm way behind the times). As far as my address...I've actually moved, but my old address will forward here for an entire year until next July. It takes me forever to start new series.

I've never seen BG (I know, I know, a travesty, and I know I'd love it), but I'm a total Horatio Hornblower junkie and YOU GOT MT KENNEDY'S AUTOGRAPH.

The Colonel Tigh we saw that night was so eerily like the Tigh from the series, and he did a damn good job at it. There were alot of great looking Galactica costumes, from Baltar to Starbuck....both original and new series....the most I have ever seen of Galactica at D*Con.
