I stopped in for a little bit on Saturday, focused on a mission and with the idea that I would see some other people after I completed it.  I am almost embarrassed to say that this is the fewest pictures I have ever taken at the con.  Lot of good costumes, but lousy lighting.  Here they are though.  This will be more shoutouts than anything.

It might take me a week and a half to get out the pictures that I want to get out posted here.  I took over 1500 photos.  Most will be publically posted.  A few might not be for some friends, but if you see yourself in them, but all means please say hello and feel free to comment.  Here's a little music to set the mood of the weekend.  I don't care what the critics say, AUSA was FLIPPING AWESOME!!! I CANNOT wait until Katsucon!!!

I wanted to get at least one picture up before bed.  AnimeUSA was awesome.  Once again what made this con was the incredible new and old friends that I got to spend time with. I have over 1500 pictures I need to sort through  over the next couple of days so check back here and see what I post while you enjoy your turkey dinner. :p  I'll keep most of the picture posts public and if you have any pictures that you want in higher resolution let me know.

Wrapping up my Dragon*con picture posts. Here you will find Spartans, Jedi, and a few other surprises.

An amazingly talented person died today.  You will likely not see another like him in your lifetime.  It is one thing to be the best in the world, but another to be the best in the world for over a generation.  This music might even be fitting for the pictures here.


Dragon*con is where you will find it all.  EVERYBODY.  I like to think I saw one of everything during the weekend....even if I didn't get a picture of it.

Celebrations IV was the largest Star Wars costuming gathering this year, but it was a controlled event. It would never allow a video like the one above.(this was played on Dragon*con TV)  Here are some of the pictures of the Dragon*con Star Wars cosplayers at night.

This post is for Grant gdg  who would have had the time of his life had he been there. ;p  The video is to get you in the mood and to have a little background music.

 
Couple of things here.  I missed the Galactica panels sadly, but you can find out what was said in the communities here on LJ. I missed the party that was completely filled up. :(   I did get a few autographs one of which was from Jamie Bamber, Captain Apollo himself.  But the biggest surprise was the cosplayers.  Galactica is relatively new and I was surprised at the detail and accuracy of many of the costumes that were there.  I didn't go out of my way to get Galactica photos, but now thinking about it, I should have.. there were so many of them and I missed so many opportunities to get photos.  They were not just good cosplayers.... they were an absolute hoot to party with. ;p  I am going to have to cosplay Galactica for next year.... no question.

Where do you even begin to talk about what happened this weekend? O.O
I don't want to say that this weekend was better than Celebrations IV..... but it was.... It is easier better than any anime convention I have ever been too.... it is the difference of eating Chef Boyardi and getting a three star Italian chef from Naples. It is quite literally the most amazing con I have ever been to. The best costumes. The best guests. The best people. Zero drama (at least in my land). I have seen the mountain Beavis.... and it is good. :p

I have so many pictures, over a thousand. I really do not know where to begin. So many people to thank for making it an awesome weekend.... I'll get to that soon...   So why not a video of a song they were playing on Dragon*con TV and a few sampler pictures. I need to go write down things before I forget them. Expect lots of pictures this coming week. 



 
Dragon*con!!!  It promises not to be a trap!!

If I know you, you were there, and I got a picture of you, you are likely to be found in this post.  This will be a long one because it is the people I know.  I start off with Mr. Reznor...of course... the most ubiquitous man in the cosplay world. ;p  He's crushing my head!!!

It still rings in my ear "The only thing the world fears more than a white villian is a black hero".  I love the Afro Samurai.  The following are cosplayers that I saw during my three days at Otakon this year.  These will be of people that I don't know or know that well.  If you see yourself here, please say hello.  In many cases I have more than one picture of each cosplayer and always in a much higher resolution. ;p  Awesome costumes people!!!

We will claim this land and call it...... the land....

It is always great to get pictures of talented cosplayers... it is even better when they are friends of yours.
